A Food Service Aide assists the Food Service Manager with preparing and servicing food for all meals serviced on campus.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the preparation of food items adhering to agency standards and specifications (includes taste, portioning, and allergies)
Serve food at proper temperatures and portions as requested
Proper utilization of leftovers as required
Complete and deliver food for meals in the living environments adhering to special dietary needs
Ensure food items and supplies are checked in as they arrive
Ensure the storage of food in a proper and sanitary manner
Assist in cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, cooking and serving equipment at the regularly scheduled intervals
Ensure daily cleaning and sterilization of all dishes, silverware, and cooking utensils
Adhere to all HACCP regulations for sanitation, food handling, and storage
Other related duties as assigned
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Lifting fifty (50) pounds unassisted and more with assistance; frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds
Reaching, handling, seeing, standing, walking
Temperature changes: variations in temperature, which are sufficiently marked and abrupt
