Saint Vincent’s announces the appointment of Colleen Simpson as Chief Financial Officers

Saint Vincent’s Services Executive Director, John T. Weldon, is pleased to announce the appointment of Colleen Simpson to the position of Chief Financial Officer.  Colleen began her employment with Saint Vincent’s on Monday, January 10, 2022, and comes to Saint Vincent’s with over 15 years of progressive financial management, accounting, and supervisory experience.  Colleen has previous experience in the non-profit human services sector from positions held at the Kennedy Donovan Center, and most recently, Times2 Inc.  Mrs. Simpson received her Bachelor’s degree from the University of Massachusetts – Dartmouth with a major in Accounting.

In her role as Chief Financial Officer, Colleen will be responsible for the preparation, monitoring, control, and reporting of agency budget and financial statements, payroll, and accounting systems.  She will assure Saint Vincent’s compliance with all regulatory, licensing, and accreditation standards and best financial practices. In addition, Colleen will provide coaching and training for the fiscal department.

Mrs. Simpson will work with the outgoing Chief Financial Officer, Jack Patricio, to transition the responsibilities of the above-mentioned functions.  Colleen was interviewed by members of the Saint Vincent’s Services Operations Leadership Team and members of the Board of Directors and was unanimously selected from a field of over thirty candidates. 

Colleen is active in her parish of St. Nicholas of Myra, has served over six years as a volunteer member of her town Finance Committee and is a long-time participant (20+yrs) of the Save the Bay swim. She lives in Rehoboth with her husband of 32 years and several pet ducks.
